The Automation and Data Processing Section's responsibilities include Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Record Management System (RMS), Local Area Network (LAN), stand-alone workstations, custom programming and any other computerization requirements for all Department.

The Fire Communications Section is the link between the public and Fire Fighting Division. The Communications Section is responsible for the receiving and handling of all E 9-1-1 calls, other emergency and administrative telephone calls, dispatching of all emergency equipment and telephone and radio equipment.

The Research and Development Section conducts research and planning activities for the department.
