 What are the Coggs Center building hours?

The employee entrance is open at 6:30 a.m. and is locked at 6 p.m.  On Wednesdays, it is locked at 7:30 p.m.  Public access doors are open at 7:30 a.m. and locked at 5 p.m.  On Wednesdays, public access doors are locked at 7 p.m.

 

 How do I obtain an access card?

You will receive an access card upon employment at the Marcia Coggs Human Services Center.  These cards must be signed for and should the card be lost, stolen, damaged, etc, reimbursement by the employee will be made to the County for replacement.  Cards should be turned in to Operations upon termination of employment at the Coggs Center.  Access cards will enable you to enter your suite.  Entry approval to other suites must be made in writing to Operations with your manager's approval.  All key cards will provide you access to doors from 6:45 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

 

 Do I get keys for my cubicle/office?

Keys to your cubicle or office will be provided when you move in.  You will need to sign for these keys.  As with the access card, upon termination of employment at the Coggs Center, you must return these keys to Operations, located in Suite 301.

 

 How do I get in the building after hours?

All after hour access requests must be made in writing to Operations by the Thursday prior to the weekend requested.

 

 How secure is the Coggs Center building?

Picture ID badges must be worn at all times.  If you do not have your new county ID picture or need a replacement, please see your Human Resources representative to obtain a new picture ID.

 

Security cameras are located in each of the waiting rooms.  There is a security officer on duty in the employee parking lot; two security officers will tour the building and one additional one will be stationed near the Information Desk on the 1st floor.  If an emergency arises, please contact the security office at 289-6216.

 

Clients who come to our facility must be escorted into and out of the work area.  This will prevent clients from becoming lost and wandering the work areas.

 

 What about employee parking?

You will receive a form to complete to obtain a parking permit for the employee lots.  Parking in the lot immediately behind the building (Lot A) is reserved for disabled parking, vendors, people attending meetings and administrative staff.

 

 What is the building evacuation procedure?

Evacuation routes are posted around the building.  Please look at your evacuation route.  Should the need arise to evacute the building, you will hear an announcement over the paging system along with emergency sirens and flashing lights activated throughout the building.  Take the nearest evacuation route and exit the building.  Superivsors are responsible for making sure that all staff are accounted for.  If you are aware of an emergency situation, please call the Security Office at 289-6216 to inform them.

 

 Where is the Child Drop-In Center located?

For the convenience of our clientele, a drop-in center for children is  available on the first floor east of the main entrance.  Clients may drop off their child(ren) with proof of an appointment.
